Thermal Imaging

Detecting Hidden Problems You Can’t See with the Naked Eye

Our Infrared Home Inspection allows you to get more detailed information about the home you own or the home you are looking to buy. An Infrared Home Inspection can reveal many hidden issues in a home that would not normally be visible to the naked eye.

What Can a Thermal Inspection Detect

An Infrared Home Inspection can be used to detect hidden water problems, missing or failing insulation, areas of energy loss, and much more. Our professional, industry certified services will provide you with the information you need to make educated decisions about the condition of your home and its systems. Whether you are concerned about wasted high energy costs, leaks, moisture, or smells.  An Infrared Home Inspection can help.

Can a Thermal Camera See Through Walls

Thermal imaging scans can easily verify insulation inside walls and ceilings. The camera will reveal where there is missing, settled, or wet and damaged insulation. As an added benefit, when I scan your home, we can also identify where cold air is coming through your walls.

Why Infrared Home Inspections Matter

Homeowners are increasingly recognizing the value of an infrared home inspection. Whether you’re purchasing a new home, confirming the quality of recent renovations, or identifying current issues that may require corrective action, thermal imaging provides a level of insight that traditional inspections cannot. Infrared technology helps you understand where heat loss, moisture intrusion, air leakage, or insulation problems exist—allowing you to make informed decisions about repairs, maintenance, and energy efficiency upgrades.

A Clear Advantage Over Standard Home Inspectors

Our Infrared Home Inspection provides a significant advantage over typical inspectors who do not use thermal imaging. Less than five percent of home inspectors are trained and equipped to use this technology. Infrared imaging allows us to see temperature patterns that reveal issues behind walls, ceilings, floors, and major systems—giving you more information to identify defects accurately.

Detect Issues Before They Become Costly Problems

Nearly everything gets hot before it fails, making infrared inspections an extremely cost-effective diagnostic tool. With rising energy costs, homeowners and small businesses rely on thermal imaging to detect moisture problems (which can lead to microbial growth), track energy loss, and evaluate electrical systems for potential fire hazards caused by loose connections, overloaded circuits, or failing components.

The benefits to you? An infrared thermal imaging inspection can identify and document:

  • Energy loss and efficiency
  • Unknown plumbing leaks

  • Hidden roof leaks before they cause serious damage

  • Electrical faults before they cause a fire

  • Overloaded and undersized circuits

  • Circuit breakers in need of immediate replacement

  • Missing, damaged, and/or wet insulation

  • Heat loss and air infiltration in walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors

  • Water and moisture intrusion that could lead to mould

  • Possible rodent or pest infestation

  • Air conditioner compressor leaks

  • Under fastening and/or missing framing members

  • Structural defects

  • Broken seals in double pane windows

  • Dangerous fluid leaks

  • Damaged and/or malfunctioning radiant heating systems

  • Overheated equipment
